STEVE MARSHALL: 14 months ago, Jonathan Ward was used to dressing Nicole Kidman and Elle McPherson in evening wear.
These days, the head designer's brief is to transform the bushwear image.
JONATHAN WARD (displaying new products): It's a slightly more urban version.
STEVE MARSHALL: A new urban version for him and now her.
JONATHAN WARD: That's the idea in the ladieswear to balance the menswear which is where we're heading, and still use our branding.
STEVE MARSHALL: Plus accessories.
JONATHAN WARD: Such as a lady's belt, as well.
I think it's very important for RM Williams as a global brand to sit with other world famous brands such as Gucci and Louis Vuitton, with accessories as well as apparel.
STEVE MARSHALL: The company has also won a much soughtafter contract to produce apparel for this year's Rugby World Cup a capital boost that management hopes will enable further expansion outside Australia.
ARABELLA GIBSON: The plan of attack is certainly to push particularly that US side of things but eventually I think we'd like to go more into the United Kingdom as well, so.
